Plant the bulb in a 6 or 7″ pot or 3 bulbs in a 10-12″ container with no drainage.Use a well drained potting soil-fill container 1/2 full, set bulb on top and fill in around bulb. Leave the top 1/3 of the bulb exposed. Place bulb in area that remains above 60 degrees F. The warmer the temperature the faster the bulb will sprout and grow–water only when the top inch of soil feels dry. DO NOT over water. Bulbs take about 6-8 weeks to bloom. After the last bloom fades, but off flower stalk but DO NOT cut off leaves–they produce food that will be stored in the bulb. Put plant in sunny window; water and fertilize once a month. In Spring when the danger of frost has passed. set the pot outdoors or plant bulb directly into the ground , in full sun. In the Fall, bring bulb inside, cut off leaves and store in dark place for 8-10 weeks. Then repot bulb and start all over again.
